Hemorrhoid Questions and Answers

April 14, 2009

Every week I receive a lot of questions about hemorrhoids relating to specific situations from our subscribers.

This week I wanted to share some of those questions as these might be of use to you, who knows, you may be in the exact same situation as another one of our subscribers.

NB. All names given in the emails have been changed to maintain our subscriber’s privacy, other details unrelated to privacy (such as age) remain the same.

Lets get started…

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and have just began to
notice that I’m getting some hemorrhoids. I drink
a lot of water and am careful with what I eat but
I still have them. My husband and I are really
tight on money because we are saving up for your
baby and we are moving into a new apartment in a
couple of weeks time.

What could I use to get rid of them without
having to go out and buy pricey creams?

Kelly Campbell, 34, Leeds, UK

Hi Kelly,

You are at the exact time when so many women get
hemorrhoids. As far as cheap solutions go – I
would recommend a natural hemorrhoid cure because
you can use these from your own home and they are
not expensive like creams etc.

If you decide that natural home hemorrhoid cures
are right for you, you have a couple of high
quality options to consider. The first is a
product called H Miracle that is actually a guide
to curing hemorrhoids using a range of food,
herbs and spices that you can buy from most
supermarkets. The second option is a homeopathic
hemorrhoid cure called Venapro. Venapro and H
Miracle both work to strengthen underlying
weaknesses that originally caused your
hemorrhoids and both provide rapid pain relief.

Venapro is a bit more expensive than H Miracle so
perhaps in your case H Miracle will be a better
solution. Last time I checked, H Miracle cost
around US$35.

A couple of things that you can do right now to
help relieve the pain caused by your hemorrhoids

1. Apply a small amount of vinegar to the
hemorrhoid. This will help relieve any itching
and bring down the swelling.

2. Minimize pain and swelling by applying Aloe
Vera gel to the hemorrhoid.

These two tips won’t totally cure hemorrhoids in
most cases but they may make them much more

When trying to pass stool, there is straining and
a feeling of discomfort – I’m really struggling
to pass my stools. Lately I’ve been noticing
small amounts of blood on the toilet paper after
wiping and yesterday I saw some blood in the
toilet after passing a stool. Also the stool is
pellet like and contains mucus. I used to have
hemorrhoids about 4 months ago but they seemed to
clear up after I used creams for about 4
months…Do you think its possible that my
hemorrhoid has returned?

P.S – I’m 23 years old.

Stacey Maddox, New Jersey, USA

Hey Stacey,

This could definitely be a hemorrhoid. In
general, the most common hemorrhoid symptoms are
blood on the stool, blood in the toilet bowl,
pain when sitting down or moving around, itching,
mucus emissions, and a feeling of being unable to
finish passing the stool during bowel movement.
You definitely quality for a few of these common
symptoms so I’d say it’s pretty likely that
you’ve had a relapse, most likely because you
stopped using the creams. This is actually a very
common situation for people who use hemorrhoid
creams because almost all creams are work to hide
the symptoms of hemorrhoids, they don’t do a lot
for strengthening the weaknesses that caused the
problem in the first place.

What I suggest you do is increase the amount of
fiber in your diet (eat more fruits, veges etc),
increase the amount of water your drinking – aim
for 8 glasses per day, and get about 20 minutes
of light exercise (walking is fine) 4 days per
week if possible.

Taking this action should definitely help relieve
your hemorrhoids and may even cure them entirely.
If this fails, I suggest trying a natural
hemorrhoid cure, a couple are reviewed here:

Good luck,

I have a small hemorrhoid and it isn’t too
painful, just itchy. I just worked out that it
was a hemorrhoid today so I’ve taken the
following precautions – I don’t wipe (I rinse in
the shower afterwards), plan to eat more fiber,
and am avoiding sitting down for long periods of

Will it take more than a week or 2 to clear up?
And am I doing everything right? Is there
anything else I can do?

Janet Wilkins, Truckee, California, USA

Hey Janet, you’re doing everything right – good
for you!

Regarding how long hemorrhoids can last – I know
people who have suffered for over 2 years before
finally curing them, others have found that they
come and go a lot, and some people who actively
work to cure them hemorrhoids can rid them
totally in under a week.

Just one tip that I thought might be useful, as
an alternative to having a shower after passing a
stool, you might find it easier to simply wet
some toilet paper or preferably tissues and
gently use these to clean the area. It’s
definitely a lot more comfortable doing this than
using toilet paper and more convenient (at times)
than having a shower.

Regarding if there’s anything additional that you
can do, I would recommend you get some light
exercise 4 times a week if possible (a 20 minute
walk is fine). This will help maintain your
metabolism in good shape.

If you want to try a hemorrhoid cure, I recommend
you consider something natural – these are almost
always cheaper option and they are readily
accepted by your body which means you won’t have
any harmful side-effects.

Home Hemorrhoids Cures

January 13, 2009

Many people search online for home based hemorrhoid cures each and every day. You are far from alone in your struggle against hemorrhoids.

You will learn in this article what the most effective home based hemorrhoid cures are. Given that everyone has different needs and expectations, understanding which hemorrhoid treatment plan is most suited for you is important. Hopefully I can help clear up some confusion and provide you with some useful tips below.

Venapro: The most effective home hemorrhoids cure

The most effective natural homeopathic hemorrhoid cure available today is Venapro. It has proven itself successful thousands of times over in cases ranging from mild through to severe. Children right through to old aged sufferers have used Venapro to get rid of hemorrhoids. As Venapro is made entirely using natural ingredients, no harmful side effects will be found. This sets it apart from so many chemically based creams that are constantly dogged with a range of negative side effects. Bleeding, itching and irritation will be reduced within 48 hours of starting to use the medication and blood circulation will also return to a healthy state soon after. All this combined lays a great foundation for hemorrhoids to be cured successfully.

H Miracle is the other natural home based hemorrhoid cure that comes highly recommended. Perhaps the most popular natural hemorrhoid cure available, H Miracle will amaze you at how fast you can get pain relief and indeed cure your hemorrhoids. The H Miracle website claims hemorrhoids can be cured using their methods within as little as 48 hours, and many happy ex sufferers have provided fantastic feedback about the product. H Miracle is a natural system that was developed by an ex sufferer and everything is explained in a way that is very easy to follow. H Miracle probably gives faster pain relief and cures hemorrhoids just as fast if not faster than Venapro. It is also a cheaper option.

These hemorrhoid cures should be accompanied with diets which are high in fiber. Cereals, fruits, vegetables and beans are foods which have good amounts of fiber. Up your intake today and you will notice softer stools which will not irritate and aggravate the hemorrhoids as much. Increases in fiber should be coupled with increases in water intake. Drink at least 2 liters of water per day.

Making sure that you have a well functioning metabolism is also one of the keys to curing hemorrhoids. You can keep your metabolism in check by doing a little mild exercise each day. 15 minutes walking should be sufficient. If you are a user of a gym and lift heavy weight, be very careful that you regulate your breathing while lifting and avoid straining unnecessarily.

Home hemorrhoid cures are extremely effective in fighting all forms of hemorrhoids. Venapro and H Miracle both offer fantastic solutions which can be used at home to quickly and permanently cure hemorrhoids. H Miracle is more of a do it yourself version of Venapro, therefore it is much cheaper but just as effective. Whichever you choose you will not be disappointed. Use the links highlighted below to read comprehensive reviews of both Venapro and H Miracle.

Thrombosed Hemorrhoids – What are they and how you can cure them

January 7, 2009

Thrombosed Hemorrhoids
by Heather-Jane Hunter

Thrombosed hemorrhoids are amongst the most severe forms of hemorrhoids. A thrombosed hemorrhoid is a hemorrhoid in which the vein has clotted. Although thrombosed hemorrhoids are normally very painful they do not generally require surgical removal. The can occur inside the anal canal or as external hemorrhoids and they vary in size from being very small (the size of a pea) through to being as large as a golf ball in the most extreme cases.

Natural cures are now recognized as being one of the most effective cures of thrombosed hemorrhoids. Apart from just curing the condition, they can also provide fast pain relief to hemorrhoid sufferers. Below we have listed 8 tips to help those of you with hemorrhoids:

Take several warm baths in a sitting position (known as a sitz bath) daily ” this will reduce pain and clean the affected area. Sitting down can often be very uncomfortable (and sometimes impossible) for sufferers of thrombosed hemorrhoids, in this case try squatting in the warm water for 5 minutes or so.

One of the most painful things for hemorrhoid sufferers is to pass a stool. You can make this a lot easier by making the stool softer which can be done by increasing your daily fiber intake. That means eating more fruits, cereals, and vegetables.

Avoid dehydration. Stay hydrated by drinking a minimum of 7 glasses of water daily. This is not difficult – you should aim for 10 glasses to ensure hydration. Try drinking 2 glasses immediately when you wake up in the morning, 2 more at morning tea time and lunch time, 2 at dinner time and 2 before going to bed. Its always better to sip the water than drink it quickly.

Apply ice to the anal opening (or affected area). This will reduce the blood flow to the area and will also numb the thrombosed hemorrhoid. Wrap ice in a cloth to apply.

Apply over the counter hemorrhoid creams for pain relief. (NB: Some creams may cause extra irritation to your skin so choose one carefully)

Use Ibuprofen as a pain relief.

Try to do at least 20 minutes of light exercise per day ” this will help to speed up your rate of metabolism and promote regular bowel movement.

When cleaning your anus after bowel movement, use a soft towel or extra soft toilet paper to minimize irritation.

Thrombosed hemorrhoids can be cured naturally. One of the most successful guides available is called H-Miracle. It has become extremely popular in recent times due to how effective it has been. H-Miracle also gives you a range of tips and tricks that work very well for fast pain relief.

If you have tried everything including natural cures such as H-Miracle and still havent got results, its most likely you will need surgery to remove the hemorrhoid. A few of your options include:

Rubber Band ligation ” this process involves tying a rubber band around the hemorrhoid which restricts blood flow to the hemorrhoid. The hemorrhoid then eventually shrivels up and disappears.

Hemorrhoidectomy ” generally a last resort for hemorrhoid removal, this painful surgery fully removes the thrombosed hemorrhoid but you may require several weeks or more to recover fully.

Sclerotherapy ” the hemorrhoid dries up and shrinks away after a liquid is injected into it.

Before considering surgery, make sure you have tried natural hemorrhoid cures. In many cases these can cure hemorrhoids totally within a couple of weeks.

The truth about 4 different hemorrhoid cures…

4 Hemorrhoid Cures Exposed

If you’re reading this article it’s probably because you suffer from hemorrhoids or someone close to you suffers from hemorrhoids.

In this article I will talk about 4 different types of hemorrhoid cures, I’ll explain exactly how they work and give you all the information about the pros and cons of each treatment method.

Hemorrhoid Cure #1

The first type of hemorrhoid cure that I will explain is the use of suppositories. Suppositories are inserted into the anal canal in order to add moisture to the stools which gives them lubrication making them easier to pass.

The reason lubrication of the stool is important is because a hard dry stool places a lot of shearing force on the walls of the anal canal, causes pain, and can burst hemorrhoids. When a hemorrhoid bursts it takes a long time to recover which means you suffer longer. For some people suppositories work well while for others this is not an effective method.

Hemorrhoid Cure #2

The 2nd hemorrhoid cure I will discuss is the use of creams, gels, and ointments. These are applied to the hemorrhoid in an attempt to soothe or numb the inflamed tissue.

While hemorrhoid creams and gels can provide some degree of pain relief, this method really is at best a temporary aid. The other downside of using creams as a treatment for hemorrhoids is that they can cause irritation and burning sensation after being applied.

Hemorrhoid Cure #3

The 3rd hemorrhoid treatment is undergoing surgery. Surgery can be expensive and very painful. It should be avoided at all costs. Recovery time after surgery can often take more than 4 weeks and there are no guarantees that the hemorrhoid will not reappear at a later date.

Hemorrhoid Cure #4

The 4th hemorrhoid treatment that I want to touch on is using natural hemorrhoid remedies using guides such as H Miracle. Natural hemorrhoid cures have fewer side effects than most other forms of treatment and they can also provide quick pain relief and long lasting solutions. The other benefit about using natural hemorrhoid cures is that a doctor is not needed and everything can be done from you own home.

Thousands of hemorrhoid sufferers have been cured using H Miracle and similar products.
